مسجد سيدي عمر الإفلاقي

يعد مسجد العارف بالله سيدى عمر الإفلاقي من أهم مساجد دمنهور، ويقع في الحي الذي يحمل اسمه بوسط المدينة. يتميز المسجد بأهمية روحية وتاريخية كبيرة، ويعتبر ضريحه قبلة لكافة الطرق الصوفية وخاصة الطريقة العزمية.

النسب والتاريخ

يرجع نسب سيدى عمر الإفلاقي إلى الإمام الحسين رضي الله عنه، حفيد الرسول ﷺ، ومن ذرية سيدى موسى أبي العمران. المسجد يزيد عمره عن 200 عام، وكان مركزًا للعبادة والذكر الروحي منذ تأسيسه.

الطراز المعماري والتطوير

المسجد يعكس العمارة الإسلامية التقليدية، وقد مر بالعديد من أعمال الترميم، آخرها منذ حوالي 5 سنوات، والتي شملت تطوير أركان المسجد وتحسين مرافقه لاستقبال المصلين والزوار.

الأنشطة الدينية والروحانية

يُقام في المسجد خلال شهر رمضان الكريم صلوات التراويح والتهجد، وحلقات ذكر النبى، ومقارئ القرآن الكريم، كما تُعقد الندوات الدينية وحلقات تحفيظ القرآن، مما يجعله مركزًا روحانيًا هامًا للمجتمع.

Sidi Omar Al-Aflaqi Mosque

The Mosque of the Gnostic Sidi Omar Al-Aflaqi is one of the most important mosques in Damanhour, located in the neighborhood that bears his name in the city center. The mosque holds great spiritual and historical significance, and his shrine is considered a destination for all Sufi orders, especially the Azmiyya Order.

Lineage and History

The lineage of Sidi Omar Al-Aflaqi traces back to Imam Hussein (may God be pleased with him), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and from the progeny of Sidi Musa Abi Al-Omran. The mosque is over 200 years old and has been a center for worship and spiritual remembrance since its founding.

Architectural Style and Development

The mosque reflects traditional Islamic architecture and has undergone several restoration works, the last of which was about 5 years ago, which included the development of the mosque's corners and the improvement of its facilities to accommodate worshippers and visitors.

Religious and Spiritual Activities

During the holy month of Ramadan, the mosque hosts Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers, circles for the remembrance of the Prophet (Dhikr), and Quran recitation groups (Maqari'). Religious seminars and Quran memorization circles are also held, making it a crucial spiritual center for the community.
